After yesterday's loooong and lovey-dovey post — I just couldn't help it; the Chef and I are getting married! — this one will be brief.
I have only this to say about the mussels the Chef is making at his restaurant right now, the ones with cream, Dijon mustard, and fresh rosemary:
yum.

I KNEW you'd be inundated yesterday. This wonderful news is a storybook ending on a whirlwind year for you and a storybook beginning to the rest of your life.
My sincerest congratulations and admiration to you and Danny.
All the best, as always,
Congratulations!!!!!!!
Congratulations Shauna, to a lot of more happiness!
And those mussels! Yum! I have been eating many in the last few days, not sure why, but I have been craving them!
Mare,
Thank you so much. If this weren't all so real, I might feel as though I'm living in a storybook! Thank goodness, it's much more imperfect than that.
Mommyspice,
I love that image of your teeth in the mussels. And that's an interesting man you have there -- proposing with a bowl of mussels. Lucky girl.
Anonymous,
Thank you. This has all been quite overwhelming, I must say.
Bea,
I have to tell you, I could eat these mussels of the Chef every day of the week. It makes sense to me, your daily desire to devour them.

The conversation and community is the best part of being here. Id love to hear what you have to say.
Let the conversation be spirited and full of questions. However, any nasty comments with a personal attack, or scurrilous ones with no intention but to hurt? They]re not getting published.
This is why I am no longer accepting anonymous comments. Too many insulting comments come through those.
This space is like my kitchen, and Im inviting you in. If you would feel comfortable pointing your finger at me and shouting during a party in my kitchen, well, I'd ask you to leave. And then the rest of us would clear the air and go back to talking and laughing. The same is true here.
Now. Enough of that. Let's talk.
